1.Texas is completely desert- Texas is not all desert there are deserts there, but the whole landscape is not desert. its mostly made up of rugged hills and mountains.

2. scientists are making up facts- Scientists spend long hours researching and working to prove theories, and they make sur ethat they are exactly precise before they say they know something. they research  the topic well and do many experiments to figure out what is correct and what isnt.

  1. I like that you were very clear and precise about which points you were refuting. This is important when arguing against a claim. It means you have specific information that doesn't sit well, rather than just arguing for argument's sake.
    However, there are a few things you need to work on for next time:
    Just because it is a blog post, does not mean you don't need proper punctuation and grammatical use. Capitalize your sentences, use end punctuation, and watch out for run-on sentences. A good argument can easily go wrong when your writing looks uneducated.
    Also, we discussed this in class, but sites like wikipedia and question sites are not reliable sources. They are run by the general public, which may or may not be well informed. Use the guidelines for site reliability in the future.
    Finally, you need to be sure of your claim before you can argue it. Unless you have seen scientists doing experiments, checking that they are precise, and researching, you cannot claim that this is true. Be careful what things you say because you feel strongly about them versus what you said because you have specific information or first-hand experience to back it up.
